Home Services
Meals are provided utilizing volunteer drivers each weekday for 75 to 85 homebound participants living in the city of Orange who, due to temporary or permanent disabilities, are unable to comfortably prepare their own meals.
Services will consist of delivering breakfast, a main entree which can be heated at any time, and a cold supper, milk and juices. All meals are prepared under the supervision of a licensed dietician to provide for the nutritional needs of persons over 60 years of age.
There is always a need for more volunteer drivers for this program. Usually a volunteer drives one day per week and delivers to a route of eight to ten participants. Meals are ready for pickup at 10:45 a.m. and most drivers are finished by noon.
